Media engagement around the largest product launch in Axe history, Axe Apollo, a full line of mens’ personal care products.

Solution

Our Impact Mailer arrived on media desks locked with a countdown clock and custom invitation to the launch at New York City’s Hayden Planetarium. Inside the envelope, the editor was given the code to the lock, which when opened, revealed our metallic silver space bag, complete with branded astronaut helmet and the full line of Axe Apollo products. Over 112 media attended from 67 media outlets around the world. Buzz Aldrin was even there to welcome the media!

Challenge

Top-tier media engagement around Gatorade’s League of Captains, a limited time offer and partnership with DC Entertainment that heralds the alter-egos of five NFL captains: Cam Newton, JJ Watt, RGIII, Peyton and Eli Manning.

Solution

To “wow” the sports media with a one-of-a-kind mailer that touts a football exterior and NFL stadium interior — and large enough to display all five commemorative Gatorade bottles. The mailer included all LTO bottles, a personalized cover letter, and collectors’ editions of DC Entertainment’s limited-run comic books each honoring one of the captains.

Challenge

Media engagement around Oreo’s new brand anthem, “Wonderfilled”, a revitalized brand promise for the world’s largest cookie, that refreshes and extends the iconic brand to its audiences.

Solution

This Impact Mailer, adorned with the cheerful Oreo visual assets, opens to reveal the new brand book. Just underneath, our key influencers are treated to an iPod with the Oreo brand anthem, “Wonderfilled”, a press kit flash drive in the shape of an Oreo cookie, and of course the tasty product itself

Challenge

Media engagement around the launch of Jacob’s Ghost, Jim Beam’s resurrected white whiskey, originally produced over 200 years ago.

Solution

Jacob Beam was the patriarch and founder of Jim Beam, which started seven generations ago. His original white whiskey was distilled and aged in white oak barrels, which gave the spirit a light but smoky flavor. Our winning concept was a custom, laser-etched wooden mailer, made of pine and stained to replicate white oak. Inside, editors and bloggers found the Jacob’s Ghost product, and recipes for two cocktails, all ingredients included. We even branded the fresh lime, because the devil – or in this case – the ghost is in the details!
